Terms of Service

Welcome to the Muslim Professionals Mentorship Platform. The following Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). By using or accessing our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Terms will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement with us
• Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or regulation

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided during registration or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, false, or misleading.

4. Mentorship Relationships

Our platform facilitates mentorship relationships between professionals (mentors) and those seeking guidance (mentees). By participating in these relationships through our Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

For Mentors:

• You agree to provide accurate information about your professional background and expertise
• You will conduct yourself professionally and ethically in all interactions with mentees
• You understand that mentorship is voluntary and that our platform does not guarantee any specific outcomes
• You will respect the confidentiality of information shared by mentees
• You will adhere to the Islamic values of honesty, integrity, and respect in all mentorship activities

For Mentees:

• You understand that mentors are volunteers and their advice is not a substitute for professional services
• You will be respectful of mentors' time and expertise
• You will communicate honestly about your goals and expectations
• You understand that our platform does not guarantee specific outcomes from mentorship relationships

5. User Conduct

In using our Service, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or these Terms
• Post or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial solicitation purposes without our prior written consent
• Engage in any behavior that contradicts Islamic values and ethics

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material. You retain any rights that you may have in your content.

By posting content on our Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute your content in any existing or future media formats for the purpose of providing and promoting our Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own the content posted by you on or through the Service or otherwise have the right to grant the rights and licenses as described in these Terms
• The posting and use of your content on or through the Service does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights, or any other rights of any person

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We make no warranty that:

• The Service will meet your requirements
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the Service will meet your expectations

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, THAT RESULT FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS SERVICE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless our organization, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the Service; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (iv) any claim that your content caused damage to a third party.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or contact us to request account deletion.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Dispute Resolution

Before pursuing formal legal action, we encourage users to first attempt to resolve any disputes through our customer service channels. In line with Islamic principles of mediation (sulh), we promote amicable resolution of conflicts.

If informal resolution is not possible, any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
